IHOP at 1240 North Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan.

I called to find out if Kids still eat free with each paid adult. I was told yes. Someone else that was with me used a coupon that apparently voided the kids eating free. I asked my waitress why I had to pay for the kids. She stated it was because of the coupon. She did not say a word about the coupon voiding the kids free when she took our bill. So we could at least decide that for ourselves. She said she was the one who told me on the phone that they ate free. I said can you honor that? Since you told me on the phone and then took the coupon anyway? She said no. She didn’t apologize or try and make the customer happy. The food was ok. Just what you would expect. I just wish she would of went the extra mile to make my check right. They were not busy at all. In fact we were the only ones there. So she had time. But did not offer. I tend to tip very well when I feel my server goes that extra mile. She clearly didn’t care. It was a turn off for me. She didn’t even offer to take the coupon off and ring the bill the right way.
